Pellegrino Heads into Special Election’s Final Week With More Than Four Times As Much Cash On Hand As Her Opponent

West Islip, NY – Christine Pellegrino, Democratic candidate for New York State Assembly, has filed with the New York State Board of Elections with a commanding advantage in money in the bank over her opponent heading into the final week of the campaign.

This adds even more momentum for Pellegrino in the closely watched May 23rd special election in the 9th State Assembly District. Nearly 600 individual donors have contributed to Pellegrino’s campaign, and unlike her opponent, Pellegrino has not taken corporate donations. Pellegrino’s opponent filed with just $9,208 in the bank giving Pellegrino a four-to-one cash on hand advantage.

“I am humbled by the incredible support that our grassroots campaign has received. It shows that our message is resonating, and that Long Island families want a representative that will clean up Albany and isn’t tied to the corrupt politicians that continue to line their pockets with tax payer dollars. I’m focused on continuing to spread that message to voters in the last eight days of our campaign.”
